My name is Mrs. Miriam Palmer. I have been teaching for ten years. I received my teaching degree from Central Michigan University and am currently working toward my master's degree at Saginaw Valley State University.
I was born and grew up in Northern Michigan (Alpena). I still love to visit family and friends in the area. Growing up in that area I grew to love the outdoors. I prefer to spend most of my free time outside doing yardwork, walking, jogging, playing at the park, or just exploring!
I now live in Macomb Twp. with my husband, son, and our dog. My husband and I have been married for six years and have a two year old son named Jonah. He is our pride and joy! :) We also have a five year old "puppy" (he still acts like it) named Jack. He is a Bassador (Bassett Hound/Labrador mix) and is the most loyal and loving pet. I love my family and spend every minute I can with them!
My family is my #1 priority, but my classroom is a close second! I have been teaching for ten years (wow that makes me feel old!) and love every minute of it. I have taught several different grade levels and in different settings (rural, urban, suburban), but middle school remains my love! I am very excited to be back teaching middle school and look forward to a fantastic year!
